Section one. What the major devices actually measure well
Heart rate. Most wrist and chest devices measure heart rate during exercise reasonably well. Chest straps remain the gold standard for accuracy during intense efforts.
Sleep duration. Most devices estimate total sleep time reasonably well. Estimates of sleep stages and architecture are less reliable than the marketing implies but useful as trend tools.
