Flavour Guide

Banana Bonanza

A sweet, natural banana flavour. Closest in profile to a banana milkshake. Light and easy to drink. Works particularly well blended with milk or in smoothies with frozen banana.

Caramel Biscuit

A warm, spiced biscuit and caramel profile using cinnamon, turmeric, and nutmeg. Aromatic and sweet. A more complex flavour than standard caramel.

Chocolate (Top of the Choc)

A rich chocolate profile using organic cocoa powder (8%). Deep, velvety chocolate flavour. The best-selling Happy Way flavour.

Choc Caramel (Ashy Bines)

A collaboration flavour. Rich chocolate with a buttery caramel finish. Sweet without being heavy. Works well in smoothies and baked treats.

Chocolate Hazelnut

Chocolate and hazelnut using real hazelnut flour and cocoa powder. Bold and nutty. Note: this variant uses soy lecithin and is not soy free.

Coffee (Deja Brew)

A smooth coffee flavour using natural flavouring. Rich and aromatic without being overpowering.

Triple Choc Fudge (Ashy Bines)

A triple chocolate formula using Organic Cacao, Organic Cocoa Powder, and a natural fudge flavour. The most intense chocolate option in the range.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the protein source in Happy Way whey?

Happy Way uses Pasture-Fed Whey Protein Concentrate (WPC) sourced from Australian dairy. WPC retains more naturally occurring nutrients from milk compared to Whey Protein Isolate, including some healthy fats and growth factors.

Does Happy Way whey contain artificial sweeteners?

No. All Happy Way whey protein products are sweetened with Steviol Glycosides (stevia) and Thaumatin. Both are natural, plant-derived sweeteners. There is no sucralose, aspartame, or acesulfame-K in the formula.

Is Happy Way whey gluten free?

Yes. Happy Way Natural Whey Protein is gluten free. However, it is produced in a facility that handles wheat and gluten-containing products. Those with coeliac disease should consult a healthcare professional before use.

Is Chocolate Hazelnut soy free?

No. The Chocolate Hazelnut variant uses soy lecithin as an emulsifier. Those with soy allergies or who are avoiding soy should choose a different flavour.

Can I use Happy Way whey in baking?

Yes. Happy Way whey is particularly well suited to baking. Vanilla is the most versatile. Chocolate, Choc Caramel, and Triple Choc Fudge work well in brownies, protein balls, and muffins.

How To Use Whey Protein

The Classic Peanut Butter Banana Protein Smoothie

Prep time: 2 minutes | Servings: 1

Ingredients

  • 1 scoop (approx. 30g) vanilla or chocolate whey protein powder
  • 1 medium banana (frozen is best for a creamy texture!)
  • 1 tbsp peanut butter (or almond butter)
  • 1 cup (240ml) milk of your choice (dairy, almond, or oat work great)
  • 1/2 cup ice cubes
  • Optional: A dash of cinnamon or a handful of spinach (you won't even taste the greens!)

Instructions

  1. Add the liquids first: Pour your milk into the blender. Adding liquid first prevents the protein powder from getting stuck to the bottom of the blender jug.
  2. Add the rest: Drop in the whey protein powder, frozen banana, peanut butter, and ice.
  3. Blend: Blend on high for 30 to 45 seconds until completely smooth and creamy.
  4. Serve: Pour into a tall glass and enjoy immediately.
